Dextrose Anhydrous 10% (D 10%)
10% Dextrose Injection is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution for fluid replenishment and caloric supply in single dose containers for intravenous administration. It contains no antimicrobial agents.
10% Dextrose injection has value as a source of water and calories. It is capable of inducing diuresis depending on the clinical condition of the patient
Indication
Glucose 10% w/v Solution for Infusion is indicated for:
- Supply of carbohydrate alone or, as required, during parenteral nutrition.
- Prevention and treatment of hypoglycaemia.
- Rehydration in case of water loss and dehydration states in patients with high carbohydrate need.
- Dilution of compatible medicinal products
